Dear Warren:
.fac
Here, at last, is an accounting of funds handled by the local
arrangements committee for 3IJCAI.
As shown below, we ended with a surplus of $2.8K. If
the SRI crew sells all their 1100+ copies of the Advanced
Papers at $15 each, the conference will have netted a nice surplus.
We had to fudge only slightly to get the books to
balance. In particular, we collected $140 more in registration fees
than is accounted for by the list of registrants, apparently due to
some mislaid registration forms. The books balanced with the addition of two "John
Doe" students and two such regular registrants. Oh well.
In the process of sorting all this out last week, I discovered several hundred
dollars in charges that were still floating around the University. While I think
we have found them all, it will probably be best to wait another two weeks
for the dust to settle.
I plan to send a check for the balance to Don Walker, to deposit in the IJCAI
savings account.
